Collaging is the art of cutting, arranging, and gluing existing materials - like magazine photos, coloured paper, old postcards, or fabric scraps - onto a backing to create a brand-new picture. There is no drawing or painting involved, making it a completely pressure-free way to be creative.
The course is beginner friendly: no artistic experience or special skills are required. All materials will be provide – scissors, glue and plenty of papers will be ready for you. The atmosphere will be very relaxed – enjoy the social space, buy a tea or coffee with cake and experiment with collage.
The course will run over 5 sessions,:
Thursday mornings from 10.30am – 12.00pm on 5th ,12th, 19th, 26th November and 3rd December.
Please note that the cafe in the Margate School venue is free for us on condition that everyone buys something to drink and a cake.
There are only 6 places available and applications close on Saturday, 10th October.
